Kym Horsell

Dr Kym Horsell studied medicine at the University of Adelaide and completed his urological surgery training in Sydney and Adelaide. He then travelled to Bristol for a fellowship under Professor Paul Abrams gaining further experience in complex pelvic surgery and the treatment of male and female incontinence.

His interests also include the management of early and advanced prostate cancer, bladder cancer and the treatment of urinary tract stone disease. He is able to offer laser stone and prostate surgery, laparoscopic surgery and robotically assisted surgery.

He currently provides consulting services to Darwin alongside his Adelaide appointments at Southern Adelaide Local Health Network, Ashford Hospital and his private rooms at the Tennyson Centre.

He has an interest in male health issues, in particular men in remote and regional areas.

He has been involved with urological surgery training and has previously served on the Board of Training and Education. He is currently involved with the SA PCCOC (Prostate Cancer Clinical Outcomes Collaboration), serving on the Steering Committee. He serves on the Medical Advisory Committee of Ashford Private Hospital and the Tennyson Day Hospital, as well as on the MIGA Medical Advisory Panel.
